Yes, it’s finally here, the footballing tournament that seems to stop the world from turning for many and eyes glaze over for the rest.
For those who don’t want to watch the World Cup, thankfully technology let's you binge watch the latest Netflix crime documentary. Have you watched The Staircase yet?

If you spend your time in and out of multiple different websites with logins and you don’t have a password manager, it’s probably time you did. LastPass is great because it stores all your passwords securely and auto generates complex and hard to hack passwords for you, so you don’t need to remember yet another different password.

2) Keyboard shortcuts
These have been around since the dawn of computers (ish) and most don’t take a Klingon death grip or the skill of Rolando to pull them off. If you spend a lot of your time in Excel and you’re not already using CTRL+N to open a new workbook or Shift+F11 to insert a new worksheet, Shift+Space to select an entire row or CTRL+Space to select an entire column and CTRL+1 to format whatever you’re working on, then you really need to read the Lifehacker guide to keyboard shortcuts

With so many distractions in life, it's hard to keep eyes on the prize. Tools like StayFocusd for Chrome helps to reduce the amount of time that you spend on time wasting websites like Facebook and YouTube etc. It even comes with a Nuclear option if you’re prepared to use it.
Phone users can use apps like Freedom in a similar way, but Apple and Android are planning to provide more in depth controls to help with your ‘Digital Well-being’ in the future too, but that’s not going to help you right now.

4) Task Management
There’s tons of task management apps out there, and anything that keeps you out of hunting through emails and helping you to get on with the admin task in hand is worth its weight in gold. There’s loads to choose from and they all have their own unique take on the problem, but we are big fans of Wunderlist, Google Keep and Trello.
